1. Introduction

Fax Credits ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by WorkStream Apps LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using Fax Credits, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use Fax Credits:

  • Account information: Email address and password when you create an account. Your email is used for account authentication and service notifications.
  • Fax data (sensitive information): Recipient fax numbers and documents you upload to send. This includes the content of your documents (PDFs, images) and the destination fax numbers. Documents are stored temporarily on secure servers during transmission and automatically deleted within 30 days of successful delivery. We do not access, read, or analyze the content of your documents except as necessary to complete the transmission.
  • Transaction data: Credit purchase history, credit balance, and usage records (date, time, recipient number, transmission status). Payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) — we do not store your payment card details.
  • Usage data: App interaction logs, error reports, device information (device type, OS version, app version), and crash diagnostics used to improve the Service and diagnose technical issues.
  • Device permissions: With your consent, we may access your camera and photo library to allow you to upload documents for faxing. These permissions can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver the fax transmission service you request, including processing and transmitting your documents to the specified recipient fax numbers.
  • To manage your account, credit balance, and transaction history.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g., fax delivery confirmations, account notifications).
  • To diagnose technical issues, monitor app performance, and improve the app experience.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • To display personalized advertisements (only if you grant tracking permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt).

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as necessary to operate the Service:

  • Fax transmission providers: Recipient numbers and documents are shared with our fax gateway partner solely to deliver your fax. Our fax gateway provider is contractually obligated to maintain the same level of data protection as described in this Privacy Policy and to delete documents after transmission.
  • RevenueCat: Used to verify in-app purchases and manage credit entitlements. RevenueCat receives transaction data and device identifiers. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdMob (advertising partner): If you grant tracking permission, AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to display personalized advertisements. AdMob is contractually required to comply with applicable privacy laws and provide equivalent data protection. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads by denying tracking permission when prompted or by adjusting your device settings.
  • Cloud infrastructure: Data is stored on secure cloud servers (hosted by reputable providers with SOC 2 compliance). All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher. Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or ensure user safety.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as follows:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, all account data (email, password, credit balance, transaction history) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
  • Fax documents: Automatically deleted from our servers within 30 days of transmission. Documents are not retained longer than necessary to complete delivery and provide transmission records.
  • Transaction history: Retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements and tax laws.
  • Usage logs and diagnostics: Retained for up to 90 days for troubleshooting and service improvement purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Advertising and Tracking

Fax Credits may display advertisements powered by Google AdMob. Advertising practices comply with the following:

  • App Tracking Transparency:Before displaying personalized ads, we request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can deny this permission or revoke it at any time in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking).
  • Ad content: All ads are appropriate for the app's age rating (4+) and do not contain adult content, violence, or other inappropriate material. Ads are clearly identifiable as advertisements.
  • Ad placement: Ads do not interrupt core app functionality (sending faxes, viewing history, managing credits). Ads include a close/skip button and do not block essential UI elements.
  • No sensitive data targeting: Ads are not targeted based on sensitive information such as fax content, recipient numbers, or health/financial data.
  • Opt-out: You can opt out of personalized ads by denying tracking permission or by adjusting your device's ad tracking settings.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.2+ encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, secure credential storage, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

Fax Credits is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete the information.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Revoke consent: Withdraw consent for data processing, including tracking and personalized ads, at any time via device settings.
